LL Eve
I am thankful for:
-every minute with these two sisters who have just loved on each other all night, trading stuffed animals and singing hilarious made-up songs and reminding us why parenthood is awesome. They are The Best
-the tall guy who keeps me laughing, keeps me grounded (keeps me crazy too), keeps the girls loved, and will keep us steady tomorrow
-the stained glass star and rose on our window behind us, reminding us of the littlest brother who smiles from the stars, and whose spirit of love and good and warmth and family I know is deep within us, especially now.
-every turn, kick and jab LL gives; This part is uncomfortable and painful, but it’s so so worth it. I never thought we’d get this far to 39 weeks, and it’s bittersweet knowing it is the last time I will carry a baby in my belly, so am trying to soak up every bit of magic this is.
-Little Love. We have hoped for you; we have waited for you; we have imagined you. You are already so loved, Baby Boy.
-our village, our tribe. Our amazing parents and siblings, our amazing care provider and nurses, our amazing friends and family, so many people, all of whom have been so incredibly with us for it all. So. Much. Gratitude. For real.
If I’ve learned anything, it’s that plans are always different than you expect, but sure hoping tomorrow’s plan is kind to us and brings us this little guy safe and sound!! Thanks for all hoping with us.
